Typically on Sundays I leave the computer at the studio and don’t end up visiting until Monday, so I forgo the update…but last night I brought it home, so here I am…
Overall not a bad looking meal…but stuffing should not be electric yellow, I don’t care if its cornbread or not…that color looks like scrambled eggs…tone it down…
Its a wonderful sunny, cool day here, so we headed out early to run errands all over creation…I picked up the plastic rings, some DMC perle cotton and a size 8 crochet hook, which is the tiniest thing I’ve ever seen, and maybe eventually I’ll attempt one of those bracelets…at least I have the stuff to attempt it with…We found a Jo-Ann’s Fabrics in Austin that I’d never been to – it must be 50,000 sq ft of fabrics, crafts, yarns, frames, draperies and holiday items…completely off the hook…I told Brian its like “Fry’s, only for chicks”…if you’ve ever been to a Fry’s you understand…if not, then think of Best Buy, only for chicks…thankfully it was pretty quiet, so getting in and out was easy, and rather fun. I’m gonna definitely have to go back there and spend more time. and there’s a new sushi place right next door- all I have to do is figure out a good day to go…
Now THIS is a bland plate of food…looks like a school cafeteria, doesn’t it?
I like the looks of most of this…the whole cranberries would bug me. I’d have to think about those…
We finished our Thanksgiving shopping at the grocery store, which sounds impressive, but realize we aren’t cooking for more than 2, so its not that hard…I already had some of the items purchased a week or so back, and i’m not making a big bird this year, we’re just gonna do turkey sandwiches instead. We’ve done 8lb and 10lb birds, and they were still too big, we’ve done the 5lb breast, and still had leftovers, and the past 2 or 3 years we ate out at local restaurants, which was fine, but then we had no left overs…and sometimes the stuffing, gravy or cranberry sauce was a little ’scary’ and I just felt like staying home this year…Brian said my palette for Tgiving was kinda ‘bland’, which he’s right – I don’t like fancy cranberry sauce or exotic stuffing, so I’ve challenged him to bring one new dish to the table – could be anything, I don’t care, that he gets to cook and make interesting. I think it’ll be fun, and I’m not offended that he thinks my palette is bland. I just like what I like, what I grew up with, and I don’t much like crunchy stuffing, or bright yellow toxic gravy with hard boiled eggs in it (i do love hard boiled eggs, tho). So, bring it on!!!
I could probably deal with this meal, although where is the gravy and what are the circular things there?
….is that ‘purple’ I see on the plate? this plate is all sorts of wrong…oh HELL no!
I’ve got orders coming in each day, but i’m going to continue to keep the beads available for ya’ll cause I was so late on Friday in posting them, and cause they are fun to make, especially the Raku sets (thanks for all the orders with those) and I enjoy making them…When I’m ready to close the ordering, I’ll start posting warning signs here…probably some time next week…I’ve got work to do, and am ready to get started tomorrow…yeehaw and all that…
