My Rockin' Front Door

Technology is mind boggling…

For Christmas, I bought Brian a blu-ray DVD player that streams Netflix, Pandora, YouTube and Blockbuster movies…This morning he installed the cable necessary to access those features, and now we are able to stream movies on our Netflix queue, and I’m listening to my Pandora music channels…all my Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Smooth Jazz are coming through with the simple touch of a button…it is really quite groovy, indeed…I’ll be able to watch Poirot, and other movies while working, as well as just relax to music.  He chose to hook up the player in my office, and I wasn’t going to argue with that, so even tho it was a present for him, I’m actually the one using it…Oh technology, how you make my life more interesting and entertaining every day…

I finished my intarsia purse late last night, only to realize about 4:00am that I had seamed the edges incorrectly. I should have put right sides together and run the seam, instead I did wrong sides together so the seams are on the outside.  In the big scheme of things its no big deal.  I don’t really care, cause this was a learning project and I don’t think i’ll ever use the bag, it’ll just sit in a drawer like so many of my projects do.  But I am gonna finish the handle and probably just felt it here since i’ve done plenty of felting on my own and don’t need to felt it in class.  I am anxious to see how it turns out, but expectations are low.  I will probably make that Circle tote from Leigh Radford, since I’ve been wanting to make it for years, but after that, I think I’m done with intarsia…Its time consuming and I’d rather work on socks.
