not that I want to be, mind you…but I woke up with a jolt and am just trying to unwind so i can go back to bed…I was having a dream that the house was on fire, but I couldn’t find where the source was to put it out, and I guess it scared me awake…
I also know that it’s getting warmer here, we’ll be turning the a/c on in the next few days (its supposed to be 80 one day this coming week…sigh…already…)and I think the heat has something to do with me being awaken…its hard to sleep when you’re uncomfortable…
So, here I am, surfing for Oscar info, pictures, wrap ups, etc. Did you watch? I thought overall the show was great, as I’ve seen some really bad, boring, stupid Oscar telecasts…but this one, save for Ben Stiller, was pretty good. I LOVE Gabby Sidibe – good for her for riding her movie all the way to the Oscars. And that whole cast was dressed in blue, even the Mighty Opes, Oprah was in blue…maybe it was her decree and they all went along with it, I dunno..You don’t cross Oprah, when she bestows you, you honor her, or be damned.
The winners were no surprises but all deserving, if not for the movies they were nominated (Meryl Streep in julie & Julia was way better than Twangy Sandy in Blind Side, lets face it), but for their body of work, and their get-alongedness in Hollywood. The Dude has been in show business since he was a kid, before lots of those folks were around who voted for him. No one saw Crazy Heart, but we all know Jeff for his other work and he does good work…And I think most folks were glad to see the Behemoth Movie and it’s King Of The World Crazy-Director get pushed aside for the smaller can-do movie that noone saw, directed by his ex-wife no less…Loved Steve and Alec as hosts, they were funny without being weird…Bringing out 5 actors to fawn all over nominees was painful, and took way too much time, but whatever…I’ve seen worse…
