I think I know what is going to happen next…and I better stop petting her immediately…
Since signing up for the sock class in January, the little class attendees has continued to meet on Tuesdays mornings at the little yarn shop…I missed last week, due to losing Joe, but I’m heading down there in a few minutes this week to just sit, knit, and maybe shop…but at least to sit and knit…and drink some hot chocolate…even tho its going to be 78 today…maybe I’ll drink some cold water instead…but I like my weekly hot chocolate!
Clem was sleeping over my shoulder…up close and personal…
And I like my weekly get-together…its only for a few hours, but its a nice way to get out of the house and work on a project. I’m zooming along on my socks now that i’ve turned the heel, and pretty soon I’ll be finishing the toe and ready to cast on another pair. Pink next time. the yarn is already balled up and rarin’ to go…
dew on bluebonnets. they are getting ready to pop very soon…
I made a few beads yesterday, and this afternoon plan to make more. the A/C dude is coming out to check on the new a/c we had put in last June. The unit is blowing cold air when calling for heat, and i dunno if it means anything but it makes a strange sound when running. That all happens this afternoon, so I’ll be home and will fire up the kiln…I still have a few buttons to shoot and show you as well…
this is Peaches. She likes being petted, and eating snacks between meals. She’s getting fixed, and will be up for adoption soon. She reminds me A LOT of Amelie..
Monday and Thursday evenings Brian and I go to the local animal shelter and spend 90 minutes taking the cats out of the cages, petting them, letting them play on the ground, and generally keeping them from going insane. Last night, there were only TWO cats left in the cages. The rest are all out on tour, at the local PetSmart, Petco stores. I hope they are adopted, because kitten season is coming up and there will be loads of kittens to adopt. Adult cats tend to be pushed aside for the cute kittens…It was nice to see only two cats in there, and we spent the whole time with them…Four more dogs have been adopted, and I think the total of adoptions for the year is like 71 or 75, something like that. Pretty good for a podunk little humane society. Get them animals out there!
