Stayin’ home today…

Yesterday was a zoom fest all over tarnation…from dropping the dog off for a bath early in the morning, to heading into Austin for various trips to the Dr. (I stepped on a broken bottle while walking the dog at the high school…the blood gushing from it would make Stephen King proud.  its ok now, tho), to zooming back down to pick up the dog, then home…I was on the road so much, i blew thru the $20 in gas I put in the tank that morning…so today, I am staying home and getting stuff done…

thankfully there were only 4 at our shelter, not 900

Last night we visited the gang at the shelter, expecting that the two kitties from Monday would be there, but surprise – a new batch had arrived…someone went to Austin and picked up 4 new cats, one of which had a litter of 4 kittens.  It was a fun night to say the least. and the orange kitty, Peaches, who looks like Amelie was gone, hopefully either to be spayed, or on the show circuit.  Echo, the black porch kitty we donated, was still there, but his skin rash on his tail is looking better, so he ought to be going soon.

The kitties were the highlight of the evening, but we tried to not spend ALL the time with them, and instead played with their very exotic looking mom, as well as all the other new members.  They all have diarhhea and Brian said it smells terrible.  probably worms. I changed their boxes at least once, and sometimes twice because the piles were so nasty.  I forgot my phone, so I didn’t take pics, but if they are there Monday, I’ll shoot some.  the exotic Mom cat will need to be spayed, so she’ll prob be there, and maybe the kittens, but they’ll need to go on circuit soon before they get to big. I’d say they are 5 weeks, still blue eyed, still nursing, pretty small, but cute as buttons…
