Summer Stripes and Such
I made the striped beads after spotting a striped shower curtain in the Garnet Hill catalog...go figure...inspiration comes from the weirdest places...I actually have MORE ideas to do with the stripes, but just haven't made it to the torch lately...gardening has consumed me of late...Still, I did rattle thru my beadbox and found some sweet treats and eats...bracelets that now I wish I had put together a while ago so that I could enjoy them...I like adding to my bead stash because eventually something really fun comes out of it...groovy...
Caterpillar Squeeze...$125
I really like the way these beads of lime and teal came together...and the crystals really keep the colors working...
Why 'caterpillar'? Well, I found this guy on my rose bush and thought he had the same colors...what is this guy anyway?

Garden Rose Squeeze...$125
You might recognize this from another listing...for whatever reason, no one picked this one...I think it fits this time of year just perfectly, so I'm offering it again - something I RARELY do, but thought 'why not'...If ya'll do not wish to enjoy it this time around, I will officially keep this guy and you'll never be bothered with him again...pretty lime and teal colors w/ swirl roses..what's his problem? does he smell?

Snow Cone Squeeze...$125
Can't you see the colors of a snowcone here? White paper cone, with syrup colors of black cherry, raspberry, grape, cherry, strawberry and maybe even some bubblegum (ugh)...Fun and bright, the beads are in pinks, oranges, purples and you might recognize some of my fave frit beads from wayyyy back...

Son of Geodes Squeeze...$125
Taking a few of the Geode beads from the other day, I paired them up w/ some ivory and turquoise beads...I've worn those once or twice, its only a few days old, tho...I like the rugged look of it...I didn't etch the ivory beads, but they would look cool that way if you're so inclined...

Picasso's Cousin squeeze...$125
A few weeks ago I had a Picasso bracelet, and I used some of those beads along w/ some others to create this one...the green doesn't show up here as it does in 'real life'...lots of craziness going on here, sparkles, silver, looks like Super Nova explosions...

Limon Cello...$70
These boys are BRIGHT like the sun...and since its all about the bright colors for the summer, you could use these to punch up some beads, or keep them together and go nuts...all encased w/ white stringer, no raised decorations...round w/ one cube and a funky weird little cone...just because...

Orange and Purple Combos
Because these colors go together so well and because I thought they would be great for the Spring, I've put together some combos for ya...If you don't have the Icicle earrings, you can use those beads as 'sliders' because they have larger holes than the others...
Cube earring pair...$12

3 pair of Icicle beads... $28

Country Stripes...$48
I like these, they are more of a 'country' look rather than the brights shown below...so I kept them separate...would make a nice little bracelet or of course each pair matches so they'd be great as earrings too...go nuts...
|
|
Bright Multi Stripes Pairs...$84/strand
These are made on a base of clear, and all the stripes are multi-colored on each bead (unlike below, you can see how they differ)...And because I'm a bit of a nerd, I made them all in pairs, so you can use them as earrings or if you need to be matchy matchy in your designing, I wanted to help ya out...

Just a groovy pic of all 3 bracelets together...I 've been wearing these for a week or so as a grouping and really love their bright summery colors...but even as a single bracelet, its still pretty fun - wear it with some silvery bangles and you're set...(I even took two of the bracelets, and hooked them to one another and wore them as a choker...pretty awesome! too bad no one saw me...I'm a hermit thru and thru... |
|
Summer Striped Bracelets...$ 135 ea
EAch bracelet mesures 7", is made of 15 beads and has the same silver clasp (good weight silver, not chincy crappy plastic coated silver)...The crystals are 4mm and bright and sparkly as well...teeny 2mm gold beads separate each crystal from each bead...
There are 7 sets of MATCHY striped beads and I threw in one Black/White striped beads on each set cause I think it needed it...so if you don't like the piece as is, take it apart and do what you want...
