I'm back at the torch

I picked up my beads from yesterday, here are the pics of my 2-day haul...I highly recommend a class from Jennifer if you can get one, she's really worth it!

I stayed up way too late last night and played with some of the new techniques from class...I'll be on the torch again today as well as picking up yesterday's goodies from the shop, etc...but I wanted to show you what I made last night...

Aztec beads...

These guys will be up on eBay tonight, for an 'extended' run...plenty of time to decide if you like this look or not...And look for more pendants coming - that was the 'click' that went off in class for me...If you like or need pendants, I'll definitely have plenty more of these babies...in all shapes and colors. So versatile, quick, fun and rewarding...I love taking classes!!!

The beads are gorgeous...and I love the pendants. Are the wires part of the beads? If they are, can you make some eventually with silver, rather than copper?

the wire is glued in afterward and i can make them with silver...i thought the copper looked best in these particular beads, that's why i chose it this time...and i'll definitely be using gold wire in the future too...lots of possibilities...niobium? cool...

That subtle two-toned stringer on the right focal is awesome! What is that?
Donna, I love those beads. Will you share your tricks when Tara and I come for class next week? Pretty please?

that is striking red over ivory. Jen uses it a lot for a warm honey color, and it reacts with silver, so you can do a lot with it. striking orange should also give good reactions - it will turn blue on silver/ivory beads...so mahy possibilites..and yes, i'll share my info, ya'll can knock off whatever you don't want on the agenda, or we'll just work until you drop, whatever you want..i'm a night person, so working late isn't a problem, but getting up early is! :)

The beads look great Donna; more styles to tempt everyone with. Now you'll be super busy creating - trying to keep up with demand. Oh yes, there will be a demand!

Donna, These are BEAUTIFUL. I guess my pockets are going to be empty for awhile. When do you have a beginners class???? I think I need to learn! Although I am sure I would never compare to you.

i've been considering a beginner class, actually...so i'll consider it even more and let you know when one will be ready...i can only take 2 people at a time, but its pretty intense one-on-one learning, and your brain will 'splode by the time you're done...bwahahaha...

you will get as good as YOU, don't worry about trying to be as good as someone else...just be as good as YOU can and you'll be happy, trust me!!

Donna- The beads are gorgeous! I love the pendants! I love your fab colour combos! If and when you do have a beginner's class sign me up! I live in San Antonio and was thinking about taking the class in New Braunfels or the one here in town @ Wire Design. I am a class junkie too!
