What's planned for vacation?
We don't usually take a summer vacation, our trips are in October or December, but if ya'll are going somewhere this summer, where is it? Why did you pick that location?
What was your most favorite place to go? I've been to Cozumel, Jamaica, England, Canada as well as all over the US... I think my favorite place to go as an adult is NYC and as a kid was to amusement parks...We visited DisneyWorld, DisneyLand, Six Flags over Texas, America, Marriott's Great America, Sea World, Astroworld and I'm sure more I don't even remember...I remember doing DisneyWorld when they still gave out the Ticket Books...and you handed in an 'E' ticket for the 'big' rides...Our favorite rides were Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and the Haunted House...I heard they tore down Mr. Toad - did they replace it with another or is it gone forever???

We took our older son to Space Academy (Space Camp for 12-14 year olds). We toured the museums etc. at U.S. Space and Rocket Center, then headed to Pensacola Beach. We lounged around and had a blast despite being fried to a crisp. It was great fun!

Mr. Toad has been replaced with the Winnie the Pooh ride, which is quite wonderful. My husband, even as an adult, is the hugest Disney fan. It's been a family tradition since he was small, back in the Ticket Book days. We go every year almost.
No vacation this year - instead of vacation, we are moving from Texas to Oklahoma. That's no vacation! :)

Since you ask where we are going on vacation, thought I would let you know Dennis & I are headed to Branson, MO for the 4th of July celebration. Hope to see fireworks from a different view. Celebrate independence day with lots of good food with friends and family.

We were in Disney World in 1998 and that was supposed to be the last year for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride so it's been gone for quite a while. :(

We aren't doing anything big this year (usually our vacations are spent driving to visit various family members), but 2 years ago DH and I went on a vacation of a lifetime - we spent a month in Indonesia. It's where he grew up, and he had always wanted me to experience it. It took us 2 years to save up enough vacation time, but it was so worth it! It's expensive to get there, but everything is so cheap once you're there that it all evens out. Everything was so lush and beautiful; we took over 700 pictures! I'd do it again in a heartbeat; not for a whole month, but it would have to be long enough to be worth the 17 hour flight! I bought way too much gold (it's all 22 or 24kt there and dirt cheap), and we spent a whole week in Bali.

WE GO TO SARASOTA, FLORIDA EVERY YEAR.IT ISN'T BECAUSE IT IS COLD WHERE I LIVE, EITHER.
MY HUSBAND AND SOME FRIENDS GO GOLFING EVERY DAY.
SOUNDS NUTS TO ME.THE WEATHER IS THE SAME HERE AS IT IS IN FLORIDA SO IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW HOT.. I ALSO WILL VISIT WITH MY OLDER BROTHER WHEN WE GET THERE. STOPPING IN ATLANTA TO SEE DAUGHTER AND FAMILY. WHAT A DEAL. GOOD OLE HOT ATLANT IN THE SUMMER TIME.
