Nothing today
No beads today...just a rant about getting cable tv installed, if you want to read...otherwise, go and have a great day..am working on an FAQ for the site...
I've not had cable TV for over a year...its ok and I miss it, but I knew if I stayed home to make beads, cable might be too distracting for me...But yesterday the Tour was hard to listen to, the feed kept cutting out and I only caught about half the race and none of the ending...So Brian and I decided we'd get cable so I could enjoy the rest of the race on TV...And that's where it all goes wrong...I went to the local cable company who said the earliest I can get hooked up is NEXT Wed...which of course is AFTER all the great mountain stages...I drove there to pick up a cable box as they tell you to, but of course I left empty handed -"oh the guy will bring the box when he comes to install".. Now, there's nothing to 'install' we already have the cable running to the house, all they need to do is flip a switch at the pole..but alas, I will be at my computer and hoping my OLN feed stays on...bummer...

I am sorry that you can't watch the race!
I think they are just trying to justify the fee they are going to charge you to "flip the switch"! They can do it all from the office! So all that guy is gonna do is screw the cable inside to the box, and then to the tv. Especially if you already had cable there...they just turned off the signal to you. (but at the office, not at the pole!) I am going through the turning off process here with our move, and it is almost harder to get things turned off than turned on! I actually had the cable company try to charge me a $40 "disconnect" fee! (no, we did not have a contract!)*rant-off* ;-)
On a happier note: Donna the beads are gorgeous! I already went to buy beads/silver to make a bracelet from Rain! Thanks!
