Who wants to stay inside today?

Its sunny and 75 outside...Brian is mowing the backyard, we've had a lazy morning of newspaper and local campus restaurant and now we're fat and happy...the show starts again at noon today, so I'm getting some last minute stuff together...folks seem to like to watch twisties being pulled, so I think i'll make lots of those today...something about watching molten glass being twisted and pulled into a long piece makes people excited...even ME when I watch Loren Stump do it...why is that...?

Anyway, all my beads are at the show so I'll have a new Freebie when I bring them back and can get a photo of them...prob tomorrow morning, possibly tonight, just depends on how dark it is outside...and then tomorrow i'm back at the torch...

I've got another question for ya'll- I've been contemplating putting up a price per each set in my Gallery...so many folks are asking how much they cost and while I don't always get around to making stuff from my gallery, would it help you to know how much the pieces are, just in case..or would it be confusing as if I'm offering them as 'available' when in fact they aren't (since they are already in YOUR homes..hurray)...Tell me your thoughts on having prices under the Gallery pieces - helpful info, or confusing? See ya'll when I get home tonight...

Oh Donna, you asked the right question! I have a friend who has been wanting some of your beads. I told her that if there is a set she likes from the gallery to ask you if you'd make it for her, it doesn't hurt to ask right? She's been chicken...bak bak...anyway her reply was that she has no idea how much any of them would cost. I think she wouldn't want to ask for a set she couldn't afford. Soooo...personally I think it's a great idea. It doesn't obligate you and I don't think it's confusing. You could just write that it would sell for so much or sold for so much or whatever. My vote is yay!

What a fabulous idea. The prices are a great way of showing us, the consumer, what your beads cost. It certainly would be useful for me, as I dream about which set I might like to approach you about some day.

Hi Donna
My vote is yes, it's a good idea to put prices in your gallery, if for no other reason than the one Laurie mentioned. A lot of your 'regulars', like myself, know you well enough to not feel funny about emailing you to ask price-related questions (or other questions for that matter, LOL). But people who admire your beads from afar and haven't ordered from you yet might be more inclined to at least ASK if they had an idea of what to expect. (hmmmm, just read through this post......am I making any sense?? I'm too tired to tell for sure, LOL).
Glad to hear the show went well for you. I REALLY wish I lived in your area!!!!

Yes, it would be really nice to know what the prices are. I think you can do it so it is not confusing, but lets people know what they cost and whether you will take orders. It would make it much more likely for me to order, or feel comfortable pointing a family member in a set's direction and saying - That One!

Hi Donna - Yes, please post prices on your bead sets. It makes it a lot easier all around, plus you don't have that feeling that if you have to ask then it is too expensive like you do when you go into a boutique store. - Jana
