We've been workin' in the yard
One of the benefits of living where its warm most of the year is that we can dig around in the garden in November...it was 65-70 over the holiday weekend, so we took advantage of the weather and visited the nursery...we found a new red bud tree, some new Lady Banks roses, burford holly and other goodies but my favorite was - new blackberry bushes! It just made sense to grow my own berries in my own backyard, so I bought 8 thornless shoots (Black Satin variety) and we put them in on Sunday...and lemme tell ya- I'm SORE! But these little guys are in the ground w/ some pretty trellis ready to climb all over...and of course Abby had to help us keep the Red Bud from flying away...

I love that you've put blackberry bushes in your yard! That's just perfect! I bet Abby was a big help - you know, those trees have a terrible habit of floating away! I also really like the new lentils - they're large, but I bet they have amazing depth!
