April Fool's Day? Who ever heard of such a thing!

What's that? Someone mentioned that it's April Fool's Day? Why, the thought never crossed my mind! Do you think that $395 is too much for 9 beads and one frog? Do you think I'm conceited and stomping around on my high heels with my long fingernails doing 'z-snaps' at my maid and cook? No, I'm ringing the bell demanding they take away my breakfast and bring me a plate full of cookies, that's what I'm doing!!

The Donald called and he wanted to buy the set, but he couldn't come up with the money, and now Monica grabbed the set out of Donald's hands and ran off with it...Magda- oh Magda - bring me my slippers, won't you please...???

I have a whole new respect for Jackie Guerra on the JewelryMaking show on DIY - she had Connie Fox on her show yesterday! I think she ought to do an entire 30 min episode with Connie, instead of a 7 minute segment...Its made me want to take a Connie class now...didn't I see that one of ya'll has taken a class with her? What did you think? And what about ya'll who've taken with Kate McKinnon? She looks like she'd be a hoot and her California home looks to-die-for...Jill, I know you were out there, what up??

And look at me - I got a set made yesterday...its got a couple of new designs in it, and I thought 'you know what? forget eBay, I'm just gonna set a price on it that I want for it!'...and I'd prefer payment in pennies this time, so I can contribute them to my local church - they have a penny drive going on this week...so when you pay thru PayPal be sure to specify that you're sending pennies...thanks for supporting my drive!

I LOVE these new beads! They are fantastic! They will be great for summer!

As a matter of fact, Kate McKinnon IS a hoot and a half! I had a blast in Pacific Grove. Her house is a block from the ocean, right on a point where there's fabulous rocks where the waves break, and just another block up is a sandy spot where the seals beach themselves to sun. Each morning I was woken up by the sound of them hooting and hollering. Fab way to start the day!

Once her family moves into the house this summer, she'll no longer have the B&B rooms, so you'd need to stay at one of the many other B&B's around. There are a bunch within a few blocks and they're all so cute! Oh, and did I mention the Montery Bay Aquarium is just a few blocks away too??

I was there for a two-day workshop, and it's great to teach you the best possible way to do the basics. But an advanced jewelry maker would probably find less of interest. Kate's on a big creative streak right now, and perhaps will have more project-oriented sessions in the future.

So that's my report! Jill

I have had classes with both Connie and Kate. They are great teachers. Connie is on the cover of Step by Step Wire Jewelry this month and there is a great tutorial in there for her bracelet. I think Kate still has room in her Bead and Button in Milwaukee. It is for her Shage Carpet of Pearls. I got signed up. It looks really cool.

I'm not saying you don't deserve $395.00 in pennies for the set, but...it is April Fool's Day, right?!!!

Hey, you got me! But, I was short a couple of pennies, and my paypal connection started to smoke, so I had to back off. Great beads though! Love the colors. My oldest daughter was born on April 2nd......but she tortured me all day on the 1st....I thought she was going to be an April Fool's joke.....but no....she waited until the 2nd. So now it is fair game on her birthday every year. I never know what to expect. One year she sent the Prize Patrol with a huge million dollar check.......But the van had a hand lettered sign, so I knew something wasn't on the up and up. It was my "shoulda been April Fool's" baby! Again.
I can't wait for tomorrow. One year I got a letter in the mail saying, "Your Newsletter from Sunnyside Nudist Camp"...on the outside! Then the pregnancy test results.....the fake $10,000 lottery ticket. Of course, I've come up with a few jewels too, I must say. It's hard work though. It just goes on and on. I hope it never stops! She's a scream.
Happy Foolishness to you,
Susan

LOL! I'm still laughing about this one! I wonder how much shipping would be on a box of $395 worth of pennies? lol

Had to run after my post but glad some millionaire other than "The Donald" picked it up. The set really is gorgeous. I know the colors are trendy but they do look great together! You rock, Donna!

I hope the Donald enjoys his frog.
