I'm up early to check the kiln..
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell ya'll the most amazing thing that happened to me last night...so I'm at Hobby Lobby - its like Michael's and its the closest craft store to my home, so I was there last night to pick up more eyelash yarn...I wandered around for a bit, found what I wanted and as I'm checking out, the customer behind me sees the 3 squeeze bracelets on my wrist and says "Are those Blackberrybeads on your wrist?"...! I was shocked and amazed to say the least...I said 'yes..and I'm Blackberrybeads!"...she said her name was Michelle (Hi Michelle) and that she had bought some of my stuff at the trunkshow last November(Nomadic Notions)...I was amazed that the bracelets would be recognized and that my name would be spoken in the same sentence (instead of 'oh cool beads, where'd ya get 'em?')...I've heard stories of folks selling their bracelets right off their wrists in line at the PO before, but I'd never had someone ask if my beads were Blackberrybeads...it was very groovy indeed...
I'm headin' to the PO to stand in line and mail my taxes...I think I'm gonna need a 'treat' after this ordeal...Brian is paying the tax online tonight after he gets home...The bluejays are stealing peanuts from the squirrel feeder and the cardinals are eating the sunflower seeds...its a wonderful Spring day here today..I hope your snow has melted...who ever heard of it snowing in April? (I know, I know...)
Ok, I've posted the 3 sets I have...these are 'as is' - I won't be doing remakes of them cause I have other stuff I want to work on instead...so buy now, enjoy and I'll have some new stuff (maybe in these colors!) for ya hopefully tomorrow, maybe this weekend...rock on!
I was up till 2:00am hunting down Amelie - she's always following us around in the house and when I couldn't find her, I knew she was outside...Brian found her this morning under the deck...she musta wanted to stay at Kamp Krusty last night, cause I called and called and she never bothered to come to me...but this morning she's all happy and smiles...
While watching Aqua Teen I made a few beads...I'm headin' to the kiln to check on them right now...hopefully they'll be decent, but until I see them, I can never be sure...go get some cereal and come back to see me in a bit...

Just "re-frame" your tax situation - you are very blessed (and worked hard) to make it as successful a year as it was!!

That is soooo cool! What an absolutely terrific high that must have been to have someone recognize your beads!!! If I had said that to someone and found out "they were the maker" from a well-known website, I think I would have fainted! It would totally make my day to meet the person who makes the beads that I buy on-line! Beadmakers rock!!

yeah, the 'ordeal' is really more the standing in line and driving all over tarnation rather than the paying...we expected to pay and the amount just means that ya'll did a great job of keeping me in business this year, so I'm not really complaining about that...I expect to pay taxes, really I do..and this next year I'll do it smarter - I'll do estimates throughout the year and that will keep the amount much more manageable...so its ALL good!!!

Congrats on the recognition. Doesn't that just make your day....what they call a "natural high"

Donna, that's awesome as you are!! I wish I would have been the one standing in line who saw your bracelets!! I would have said, "will you sell those babies off your wrist this afternoon!!" and had you autograph 'em at the same time! Way too cool :)!
