On Fri. May 6th I put my Smokey down. It broke my heart. I knew it was for the best, I did it for HER not for me. I am just starting to feel that the world is okay again.I am so sorry about Dex, however in your heart you know it had to be done.Maybe he and Smokes are hanging out together,having fun!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, Donna and Brian.

If you haven't read the book, "Cat Heaven," I strong recommend it. "Dog Heaven" got our family through a lot of pretty intense grief. I still cry when I read it but it does make me feel better.

Donna, please accept my condolences for your loss of Dexter. I am a fellow lampworker who follows your site just b/c I enjoy your daily blog so much! My husband and I have 3 cats and 2 dogs, who are our "children" (no people children here) and we have been through this ourselves and can relate completely.
