Time to get to work...on shipping

Ok, here you can see the results from last night's class- I started making a bracelet and my friend Mick talked me into making a necklace - and I like it, but the beads are kinda lost in it...I think the fibers are great with the beads, but that they should be strung separately so you can get the full impact of them...which is why I'm already re-tinkering in my little head.

The necklace is a little short, so I made the silver chain extender (seen on the misc page w/ the fuzzy bracelet) and put a single bead on it as a charm...that allows the chain to drape behind my neck, so you can get the 'full impact' of the necklace when I'm wearing it...I don't typically wear big bright fuzzy necklaces - they look out of place with tshirts and shorts...haha...

Today's goal is to get the Garden Stakes packaged and shipped...that's gonna be interesting, but hopefully fun...

Last night's class was a ton of fun, the Fuzzy Bracelet we made is macramed, so its a whole new technique (if you can call macrame new) from the Fuzzy Tutorial that's posted on this site...I made a necklace last night (gotta be the odd one in the group, right) and this morning I made a matching bracelet - that's too big! it falls off my wrist..rats...so I just fed the toggle through another bracelet on my wrist and that's the only thing keeping it from falling off my arm..oh well, I tried..I'll probably wear it to Bead and Button and then come home and deconstruct it all so it fits properly...I tend to do that - my stringing is not an exact science cause I'll measure *some* things but not everything...and then I pay for it in the end...

Can't wait to see the Fuzzy jewelry! It's so much fun to try out different techniques (even if the stitches, like macrame, are tried and true!). You could always tape together your smaller tubes to mail the garden stakes. With bubble wrap around the stakes inside, it should hold pretty well. Just an idea!

Oh, Donna. The fuzzy bracelet and necklace are awesome. Good job, girlie! I wish I were taking classes to "educate" myself too :(. But I'm having fun making jewelry regardless. Had a show today and it wasn't too bad :). Talk to ya soon! Best wishes with packaging the garden stakes :).
