Told ya Tuesdays would be 'late' days!

its 4:30 and I'm just NOW getting to update the site...but I was outta here before 9:00am, heading to my silversmithing class which I'm really enjoying...only 3 weeks in, I've already completed a ring which I'm happy with...I learned a lot of different techniques with it, things I can use in my future endeavors, and I plan on continuing with the course once my 6 weeks is up...I really like the chicks and instructor, its a fun way to spend 3 hours...

I was just telling Katie that its been bang-on busy here in the studio since Saturday...I've hardly had time to read email, let alone respond...Michelle Waldrin is here renting studio time, so of course we have to hear each other's bead-history stories...

she was here till after 8:00 last night, then I went back to the torch to work, and now today she just arrived, and will be here for the next few days while I'm taking Kate Fowle's class...then next week I'm teaching among everything else that's going on, so its action-packed and crazy, but sometimes it just hasta be that way...I like my world quiet and orderly, so it reminds me of being on a roller coaster or grabbing a horse that's running fast- you just gotta hold on till its all overwith...at least I'm getting some neat beads made from it...!

Hellacool RING Donner!!! I'm so jealous. I was also supposed to start a silversmithing class the same Tuesday you did. I booked time off work to take it in the afternoon. The week before, the school called me to cancel as they only had 4 students and needed 6 to make it work financially. They offered me the evening course, but the whole reason I wanted the afternoon one was because I took one in the evening a few years ago and it was horrible. I don't work well after supper. I was so looking forward to it! Anyway, I am so happy for you and am living vicariously through you until I can maybe try for another one next year *sigh*

OH, COOL! I'm LOVIN' the ring! Have blast in your classes... both taking and giving... can't wait to read all about them when you have a chance to breath next week some time!

Love the ring, size 7, if you're selling!!! Beautiful work for your first time. For some inspiration, take a look at http://www.catherineondrey.com/ - she does her own metal work and currently has a couple of sets on e-bay - great simple/elegant designs.

So, why is the ring "The Accidental Ring"? It is very cool!! Have fun with Kate Fowle - her beads are amazing - can't wait to see what you do with her techniques!!
