Lets melt something...

I've loaded ya'll up on pics from my classes, so today I'm gonna get back on the torch and melt something...the kiln is even ramping up as we speak, so there's no turning back now!
I'm glad ya'll are enjoying the pics and are leaving comments and emails..its good to hear from ya'll...and it sounds like we are ALL taking the same classes this year, so we should be able to compare notes and finished projects...if you have any questions, feel free to ask me - not that i'm an expert mind you, but I can clue you into what supplies you might or might not need to take with you...other than that, its all up to you to make the most awesome pieces ever!

The pile of loot is still on the table, Clementine hasn't put any of it away yet...she's outside chasing birds...I guess it's up to me to get the catalogs and tools returned to their homes...I did find some fine silver and made a few more links for my bracelet, but until my torch arrives, I'm in a holding pattern...

I washed two of my knitted clutches last night and one came out pretty nice, but the other one is so teeny, it looks like a doll's purse...I think you can fit a cell phone in it and that's about it...hmmm...what do I do with something like this? I'm thinking it becomes yard art..hang it from a tree, let a bird make a home in it...

Someone asked me about what kind of tumbler I use from Harbor Freight - here's a pic...

Today is the first day of Summer...and its the one year anniversary of us adopting our dog...she's such a good kid...we're glad she's here...

So you can put glass in the tumbler and it comes out shiny? I recently received 3 old glass beads that would be super great if they weren't so dingy/dirty looking. Even if they weren't clear, just so they had a shine....

i don't tumble glass, but I'm sure in the Rio catalog there is tumbling medium that will let you shine up glass...if you can tumble a rock and make it look smooth and shiny, I would imagine you could do the same for glass...I just wanted to say that when I tumbled my silver pieces and had crystals strung with them, it didn't damage the crystals...but you should check out what Rio or other places say before taking my word for it...yeehaw...
