I'm at the grindstone

Another day with a kiln stuffed with beads...things are going well here, if somewhat sluggish...I'm just not a morning person and trying to work at 10:00am is difficult for my creative synapses...they don't start firing until 3:00pm if I'm lucky...more like 5:00pm or 7:00pm...anyway, I've been forcing myself to just make SOMETHING- ANYTHING and once I get underway, it starts moving...having a new nugget press is also inspiring...I like the size and shape of these beads...i've already strung a few into a bracelet and have more that I wanna make...Thursday will be a full-time work day...then FRIDAY AFTERNOON I hope to POST THE BEADS for order...that gives me Friday morning to clean my Thur beads, as well as shoot pics, label, price and post them...depending on how many orders or how big they might be will depend on when I stop taking orders...If there is enough interest, I will open the orders for Round 2 and however many more there need be (I think I took at least three sets of orders for the last offering)...I will need to stock up on a few colors that I'm running low on, but I think Jim at BlueMoon has them in stock...at least I hope so...Either way, I can still take the orders while I search for these colors (they aren't exotic, I need light ivory and light brown, how difficult can those be to find?)...

Hi Donna. I noticed you are lucky enough to have Dustin Tabor visiting BlueMoon in March! Goto: http://dustintabor.com/

Howdy Julie...

Yes, that's true! Actually, not only Dustin, but also Stephanie Sersich will be teaching with him...they will also teach as a duo at Bead and Button this year...I was lucky enough to take a class from Dustin a while back, but I'm glad to see he'll be coming back...If anyone is interested in taking from him, contact Jim at BlueMoon Glassworks in Austin (512-380-0770) and see if there are spots available in the class...they're both fun people and it'd be a fun class, i'm sure!!!
