its that stupid tax day again...
You know, we all pay our taxes, and I woudln't mind so much if I felt like we were getting a good return on our money...with all the waste (not just the war, but that's a big one), it just makes me furious...I think watching John Adams on HBO and seeing how peeved they were about being taxed to death is just lighting my fire even more...we're paying our tax today, and filing an extension cause our CPA thinks we have more deductions to claim...so, we'll pay what we owe and then try to recoup...better than not paying at all- I was there once, 4 years my ex went w/out paying or letting me get ahold of the taxes ('they owe us money', he'd say...guess what, I'd say - they're gonna come get us one day)...at least its not that bad, we are on time, and current, even tho the amt we are paying is criminal...good thing I set aside money each month just to cover taxes...geez...
I've been sitting on some bracelets for sale, that I've been contemplating taking with me to B&B, but I realized - what if I get there and no one wants to buy anything from me...I don't have a booth, I don't have a neon arrow pointing at my head flashing 'Blackberrybeads', so the general public won't know who I am...friends will know, but I can't sell them everything, can I? I doubt it...so, since today is so pretty out, and I'm in the mood to share, I do believe I will be shooting pics and posting later (much later, I have to make my first of many treks to Austin today)on Etsy...I will send an email to the mailing list letting ya'll know, if you're interested...some squeeze, some rounds from the Catalina Island series, brights, black and whites, its a symphony of joy...heh...
I had to feed all the plants this morning, as I missed out yesterday...so everyone has their feeding of molasses, seaweed, and other minerals/nutrients...grow grow grow...the porch is so clean and pretty with the new box, all the ugly bottles of plant food, bags of rocks, tools and fire ant killer are safely hidden away...it looks like a real house again...
