...and the beat goes on...
don't you love that song from Sonny & Cher? (the ampersand is very important in their name, you know)...I love that song...it reminds me of when I was a kid, played 45's on my little record player and sang the day away in my room...I loved playing in my room alone, I'd play dress up, or Barbies, or would string beads (yes, even back then I was stringing beads), and listen to Donny Osmond, Bobby Sherman, Partridge Family, and the Beatles...I owned KTel Records and learned all the words to the songs...maybe that's why I enjoy working in my studio alone so much - I've always been good being on my own, getting work done, studying for school, focusing, completing tasks...sure, I'd play, procrastinate and goof off too, but I got stuff done...without anyone's help or interference... I think kids are born to be that way or not...I am one who is not a very social animal...I tend to prefer small groups over large ones, unless I can just blend in the background of a large group...I don't like attention, I prefer to stay behind the curtain like the Wizard of Oz...pay no attention, and all that stuff...Sure, i yammer on here and you come and read it, but I could go months w/out ever updating and be fine...cause I keep things simple in my world, I am not into drama or conflicts...I make fun of the podunk country town I live in, cause, well, it IS podunk and redneck, but it has its good points too...its small, its quiet, its slow paced, its friendly, and no one complains...people look out for each other w/ out getting into each other's cheese...if a dog is lost, we search for it...if there's a stray cat, we feed it...if someone wants to cross the road, we slow down and wave them thru...you can bike on roads out here and no one tries to run you down...lots of folks walk and push baby strollers...its small town living w/ the same problems and perks of any small town...and I like it, i really do...
